10 days into the year, 2 new year's resolutions down

Okay, so maybe I didn't really plan on committing to any resolutions because I know that I won't be able to stick to them, but if I would have planned any of them, two of them would be
1) Eat more healty food!
2) Spend less moneeeeeey
Both very cliché, but true. Now why did I fail to achieve these two "goals"?

Reason #1: Oreo Cupcakes.
I've been holding on to this recipe for a long time now, but never really found the time or motivation to make them. When my sister came back from England for the holidays, we decided to make them together. After rescheduling for about 6 times ("We'll do it tomorrow", "Let's do it some other time", "Next week?") we finally made these delicious cupcakes yesterday - even though we might have gone a little crazy with the buttercream topping (not a cupcake with topping, but topping with a cupcake, hidden underneath.) But hey, don't they look yummy?!

Reason #2: River Island.
After finishing high school, me and my friends don't see each other as much as we used to - obviously. So when my friend Iris called me last Friday, we ended our conversation by planning a day out with each other, which was today, yay! All we agreed on was that we'd meet up at the station around noon, so after getting a cup of coffee we decided to go shopping - duh, we're chicks! All went well, until we walked into the River Island.. As my closet is about to explode an my clothes are spread on my bed and chair as well, my focus isn't on clothing anymore, but on shoes. So instead of falling in love with a blazer, sweater or skirt, I fell for these little wedges. I wanted an other pair first, but there weren't any left in my size any more.. and these were cheaper, hihi ;p Why this is a bad thing? Well, I just bought a pair of heels a month ago which I've only worn once. And, as most of my days are spent working, I'll be wearing easy, comfy shoes more often and not these lovely, but not very work-proof shoes :(

That being said, I can't wait to combine my 'eating healty food' and 'spending less money' resolutions by going out for sushi on Thursday ánd Friday.. yummm!
